State of Opportunity is covering tomorrow's announcement of poverty estimates by the Census Bureau. The numbers will show how many Americans lived in poverty during 2011.
It's expected that the report will demonstrate that proportionally, as many people live in poverty around the country now as in 1965 ( the year the government first developed the thresholds we know as the "poverty line").
Over the past decade there have more children living in poverty, and more who can be classified as low-income.
