In July of 2023, Michigan Public (formerly Michigan Radio) celebrated its 75th birthday with a two-day fund drive. The approach and atmosphere were celebratory and upbeat with hosts from many of the national programs pitching in with their personal greetings.
We used the attached rotating messages as a way to stimulate excitement about this important milestone. Each message was followed by a live appeal from a local host, directing the listeners to our website’s donation page and to the phone number where they could make a contribution.
On the day following the two-day drive, we hosted a live birthday party at our studios where listeners could see our workspace, meet our on-air hosts and reporters and celebrate with cake and ice cream.
