Michigan theaters among those showing "The Interview"

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Seth Rogen comedy that ticked off North Korea is being released today in some 300 independent theaters in the U.S.    

Theaters in Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, Traverse City and Ironwood will be among those screening the controversial movie "The Interview."

The movie about a plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un had been pulled from theaters because of threats blamed on North Korea.

But the Sony Entertainment and independent theaters decided to on a Christmas Day release.

Sony also has made the movie available on-demand.
