People who have unpaid parking tickets in Detroit will be able to take advantage of a special program and pay only half the amount of money they owe. The program is called "All or Nothing Amnesty" and starts Tuesday and ends July 1st.
It also applies to people already in payment plans over parking debt, but does not apply to people whose vehicles have been clamped with a boot.
In a press release the city says, "In order to participate in this program, individuals must pay their entire record and cannot exclude any tickets from the program. If anyone would like to request hearings on any tickets, they will not qualify for the program; hence the term 'All or Nothing.'"
Parking enforcement in Detroit is expected to intensify, beginning in July and enforcement hours will be extended until 10 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
