The Wood Box Heroes, an American acoustic super-group, will bring country vibes to the city October 25 during a special concert event at the Downtown Boxing Gym. Proceeds will support the annual William J. Gilbane scholarship fund, enabling students to attend private metro Detroit high schools. The scholarship fund was started by businessman and philanthropist Tom Petzold and his wife Jeanne. DBG students have the chance to apply in 8th grade and receive scholarships that cover tuition and transportation costs.
