Hiking 101: North Country Trail

Hiking 101: North Country Trail
Hosted by the Chief Noonday Chapter of the North Country Trail Association.
This is the perfect opportunity to receive hints and suggestions for hiking activities, and ask any questions you may have about hiking or the North Country Trail.
Chief Noonday chapter members, Jane Norton and Cynthia Clemens, will share not only an introduction to the NCT but also enlighten any interested hiker on basic hiking skills!
Both presenters have logged well over 1000 NCT miles each (day hikes & backpack), across Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
About the North Country Trail:
The NCT is a national scenic trail that goes through 8 states from North Dakota to Vermont, where it intersects the Appalachian Trail (AT). With more than 4900 miles, the NCT is more than twice the length of the AT, and is right in our own backyard. The local Chief Noonday chapter manages and maintains 120 miles of trail through Barry, Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties. Yes! It is right in our own backyard!
