The Michigan Alpaca Fest is proud to announce its 27th annual event, scheduled for April 12 and 13, 2025, at the Allegan County Fairgrounds. As the nation's longest-running alpaca show, the Fest continues its tradition of offering a rich and engaging experience for attendees of all ages. Dedicated to promoting the alpaca industry, the Fest offers educational opportunities, competitions, and a platform for artisans to showcase products made from alpaca fleece, and other natural, sustainable fibers. The event brings together breeders, enthusiasts, and the general public to celebrate these unique animals and their luxurious fiber
Event Highlights:
Double Halter Shows showcasing Huacaya and Suri alpacas.
Youth Competitions: Young alpaca enthusiasts will be competing with their animals through Showmanship, Obstacle, Public Relations classes, and a delightful Alpaca Costume Contest on Saturday at noon.
Walking Fleece Competition: Competitors will have one on one time with the judge who will provide insights into the quality and characteristics of the alpaca's fleece.
Artisan Fair: Offering a variety of products crafted from alpaca fleece, and other natural fibers. Watch for demonstrations of spinning and other fiber arts.
Free Admission, Donations accepted. Attendees are kindly requested to leave pets at home, to avoid distress to the alpacas.
