Spark Festival of Learning

Spark Festival of Learning

Ignite your curiosity at the Spark Festival of Learning, a free, dynamic event at the University of Michigan Marsal Family School of Education. This festival invites community members of all ages to engage in a vibrant array of hands-on activities and demonstrations designed to inspire creativity and discovery.

The festival kicks off with a special opening performance by award-winning artist Donovan Rogers. Immerse yourself in interactive exhibits led by passionate Learning Guides from local organizations, where you can explore a range of topics including art-making, nature, media creation, cultural practices, VR experiences, dance, and more.

For those interested in exploring a topic more deeply, there are workshops on the educational power of comic zines, refining debate skills with the Umoja Debate League, or learning 360° VR production techniques.

With food provided and an opportunity to connect with local experts from all walks of life, the Spark Festival of Learning promises a joyful afternoon. Whether you're a young learner or a lifelong explorer, this event offers a unique chance to fuel your love for learning in a casual and welcoming atmosphere.
