Experience the magic of 60’s and 70’s AM radio live on the TCA stage Saturday, April 26th. Known for their tight harmonies and vibrant stage presence, PURE AM GOLD transports you back to the days when AM radio reigned supreme. Featuring classic hits by legendary artists like Burt Bacharach, The Mama’s and the Papa’s, Neil Diamond, and The Monkees, this 8-piece horn band will have you on your feet dancing and singing along. The Cereal City Concert Band will present "Prelude to Austria" on Sunday, April 27th, at 3:00 pm at the Pennfield Performing Arts Center in Battle Creek. The concert features small ensembles in the first half, including a flute trio, clarinet quartet, brass quintet, and big band. The second half will showcase America-themed music for the Mid-Europe Wind Band Festival in Austria, including pieces like Espirit de Corps, Shenandoah, and Pilatus: Mountain of Dragons.

With Mark Kendall (guitar), Michael Lardie (guitar, keyboards), Audie Desbrow (drums), Scott Snyder (bass), and Brett Carlisle (vocals), the band’s core writing team of Lardie and Kendall forged numerous hits over the years, and when Desbrow joined in ’85, the grooves hooked an amazing stride.
