Join us for the 10th annual DETROIT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ANIMATION (DIFA) on Saturday, April 5th, 2025. Celebrate a decade of animation excellence with a 99-minute mix of animated shorts, showcasing a vibrant selection of works from both local and international animators.

In honor of this special anniversary, enjoy a 30-minute pre-show segment featuring a selection of Michigan-made animations from our past nine years.

Set in the historic Senate Theater in Detroit, this 1920’s Art Deco gem is not only known for its visual charm but also houses the world’s 8th largest Wurlitzer pipe organ. Enjoy the classic concession stand, comfortable lounging areas, and the added convenience of secure parking.

It's time to get creative with Portland Creates! Join the community in an all-ages art competition by submitting your very own art for display and judging. It can be something you make specifically for this program, or something you've had for years that you want to finally put out there. We welcome different mediums including (but not limited to) 3-D, metal workings, quilting, crocheting, quilling, painting, drawing, and much more! We will begin accepting submissions April 1. Get creative and showcase your art to the community!

WHAT:        
The Bank of America Museums on Us program offers FREE weekend general admission to Bank of America, Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank credit and debit cardholders, at five top cultural attractions in metro Detroit, Saturday, April 5, 2025 and Sunday, April 6, 2025. For the past 25 years, Bank of America has provided access to some of our nation’s greatest cultural experiences and brought new visitors to our partner museums.
