Update: 5:08 p.m.
The Central Michigan University Faculty Association plans to comply with Judge Duthie's order.
From their press release:
Laura Frey, CMU Faculty Association President said, “We will obey the court order and return to work tomorrow. But this does not end the issue. The faculty remains strong and committed to securing a fair and equitable contract for members.” Despite the court order, the FA considers the work stoppage a success. Students joined faculty on the picket lines this morning while members of local labor unions did not cross the lines. A show cause hearing is set for Friday, Aug. 26. Frey said, “This is just a temporary order. We will still have our day in court where we’ll have the chance to present our case."
