A Grosse Pointe North High School teacher delivered an impassioned resignation speech at Monday night’s Board of Education meeting.
“You don’t respect us. If you respected us you’d listen to us. You don’t appreciate us. If you did you wouldn’t make our jobs literally impossible to do. If you cared you would pretend you’re listening, at least.” said Sean McCaroll. McCaroll went on to criticize the lack of response from the school board over emails he sent regarding concerns over the return to face-to-face learning in the district, as well as formally announcing his resignation.
