We Michiganders are pretty spoiled when it comes to our wide variety of beers.

And we have Founders Brewing Co. to thank for so, so many of those beloved brews.

The craft beer industry has been booming in Michigan and across the country for some time now. As distribution continues to grow, it's fair to wonder whether craft beer companies are approaching market saturation.

After all, big companies like Anheuser-BuschInBev and Coors Brewing Company still dominate the market.

But Founders co-founder and CEO Mike Stevens is confident that the craft beer movement will only continue to grow more competitive against those big names, thanks to what he describes as a "paradigm shift" in customers' beer tastes:

While many Michiganders take a certain pride in Founders' famous brews, we don't get to keep them for ourselves. According to Stevens, Founders distributes to some 40 states and, thanks to a partnership with Spanish brewer Mahou San Miguel, now reaches 22 countries around the world.

In our full conversation below, Stevens told us more about the partnership with Mahou San Miguel and how he expects to see Founders continue to grow in the months and years to come.
