A mugshot and RAP sheet of Jason Dalton, who police say went on a shooting spree that lasted for hours in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Saturday.

The suspect in a mass shooting over the weekend in Kalamazoo is expected to be arraigned Monday.

Authorities believe Jason Brian Dalton is responsible for at least six deaths. No motive has been released at this point.

Dalton is married with two children. Neighbors say his one passion seemed to be working on cars.

Those neighbors in rural Cooper Township outside Kalamazoo say they’re surprised.

“We sure wouldn’t have suspected anything. We were shocked. Absolutely shocked,” said Sally Pardo, who lives across the street from the Dalton family.

Dalton is an Uber driver. It appears he was picking up fares during the same period while the shootings were occurring.

Authorities believe the victims were randomly chosen.

There was a prayer vigil Sunday night organized by Kalamazoo area churches to remember those killed in the shooting spree.  The service was attended by several hundred mourners.

“It is a big town but a small town and a lot of people are connected, so, already the word gets out of all those who know somebody or has some connection, and they want to show the love and they want to lift up in prayer for the people and be there,” said vigil co-organizer Julie Kieser.

“Your stomach sinks just immediately thinking of the tragedy for the people who’ve lost people they love.”
