Your mom says you're going to get a ticket if you don't take care of this

REAL ID driver's license
Michigan Secretary of State

The extension given to drivers for license renewals is about to run out.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Secretary of State’s office extended the deadlines for renewal of driver’s licenses and registrations.

That all ends on September 30th.

The branch offices have been offering after-hours appointments for more than a month to take care of people who have to appear in person.

They’ll keep offering those special appointments until the deadline.

Most people can take care of their renewal business at a self-serve station at a Secretary of State branch office or at some Meijer and Kroger stores. Find a location close to you here.

Starting October 1st, you could be ticketed for an expired license or registration.
