  • Southeast Michigan used to have a pollution alert system for the region's drinking water that was considered by experts to be the best in the nation. The system collapsed after the funding ended, despite the fact that it would have cost homeowners just 25 cents a year to maintain. State Representative Kurt Heise joined us to talk about it.

  • The University of Michigan Library is going to be busy as they recently received a donation of more than 115,000 pieces of sheet music that came from a collection by Thomas Edison. It plans to catalog and digitize all of it, which includes music that dates back to 1790. Kristen Castellana joined Stateside to talk about the project and what's in the collection.

Stateside is produced daily by a dedicated group of producers and production assistants. Listen daily, on-air, at 3 and 8 p.m., or subscribe to the daily podcast wherever you like to listen.
