The Eastern Michigan University community is once again dealing with racist graffiti on the school's Ypsilanti campus.
The racial slur targeting black students was found spray-painted on Ford Hall.
Last month, there were two separate incidents of racist graffiti targeting black students on campus.
There were also incidents of racist flyers found on the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus. The flyers also target black students.
According to a statement released by EMU President Jim Smith today, investigations are ongoing for today's incident and those that occurred last month.
More from President Smith:
The deeper and systemic issues that are behind these incidents continue to be a focus for our student leaders, our faculty, our administration and all who care about this institution and the welfare of our students. These incidents run counter to the values and mission of the University and our actions over the past several weeks and going forth have and will continue to reflect that.
The previous incidents on EMU's campus sparked peaceful protest marches on campus.
"The Intersection, which is a student space for interaction and discussion of important issues, is being staffed by our diversity and community involvement people today, and they [will be] there all day today," said EMU spokesman Geoff Larcom.
He also says there are campus discussions planned for later this week that will address today's incident.
President Smith urges students, faculty and others who may have helpful information regarding the investigation to give campus police tips.
"Our police officers continue to investigate the incidents in late September. They have responded to many tips and continue to actively pursue them," Smith says. "The $5,000 reward for the previous incident is now being doubled to $10,000 and will apply to this incident as well."

The building that was vandalized on EMU's campus with racist vitriol is right next to the MLK monument. This is not coincidental. #truEMU
