Meijer stores are voluntarily recalling some products containing sliced apples due to potential health risk.

Fresh Pak Inc., a fruit company in Detroit, issued a recall on its products with sliced apples last week.

Meijer issued its own recall this week for products using these apples. It believes they are contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause severe and even fatal infections.

The products being recalled are sold in Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

The company says no illnesses associated with listeria have been reported so far.

You can find a list of the products in question on the company's website.
