A man who built a towing empire in Metro Detroit is now serving time in prison.
A federal judge sentenced Gasper Fiore to 21 months Thursday.
He's among the 20 defendants in an investigation into public corruption in Macomb County.
Fiore pleaded guilty to bribery late last year. He admitted to paying $7,000 in cash to former county trustee Dean Reynolds for help with a towing contract in Clinton Township.
A jury convicted Reynolds of corruption in June.
The government says an executive at a trash-hauling company helped funnel the money to Reynolds.
He has also pleaded guilty to corruption.
