Do some star gazing in the coming week

michigan.gov

Michiganders are being encouraged next week to gaze into the night sky.

International Dark Sky week kicks off on Monday.

Jacquelyn Baker is with the Department of Natural Resources.

She says numerous state parks are inviting people to view the night sky, far away from city lights.

“I think a lot of people would be surprised at what they see,” says Baker

The Headlands is an International Dark Sky Park located in Emmet County along the shores of Lake Michigan.
