Christa Quinn

Christa Quinn is the Lead Major Giving Officer at Michigan Public. She spent the first five years of her time at Michigan Public as a member of the Corporate Sponsorship team. Christa came to Michigan Public in late 2018 with many years of experience in the media industry.

Christa is an AMS-sealed certified meteorologist who spent nearly 25 years in front of the camera broadcasting the weather in such cities as Albuquerque, NM; Traverse City, MI; Toledo, OH; Philadelphia, PA and Detroit. Alas, the 2 a.m. wake-up calls got old, so she stepped away from the camera.

Christa has always been an avid listener of Michigan Public, so it seemed natural for her to join the team. Prior to coming to Michigan Public, Christa was the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Motawi Tileworks in Ann Abor.

When she has free time, she loves spending time with her two daughters, taking them to theater rehearsals, swim practices and getting up way too early on weekend mornings for swim meets. During the pandemic , Christa surprised her girls (and herself) and got a dog; a golden retriever named Charlie (whom many donors and clients have heard barking in the background when she’s working from home). Christa also prides herself on her outdoor cooking skills and enjoys grilling anything from pizza to paella.
