Eugene Robinson, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and columnist for The Washington Post, is joining Michigan Radio’s Jennifer White for a discussion on race, health, education and culture during a session hosted by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation at the Detroit Regional Chamber’s 2015 Mackinac Policy Conference.

Robinson, who started off his journalism career at the University of Michigan writing for the Michigan Daily,  has witnessed firsthand the revolution taking place online and in the 24/7 news cycle and has seen how the news media is influencing American culture.

As one of the most prominent African-American intellectuals on the culture scene and author of Disintegration: The Splintering of Black America, Robinson also shares with audiences his understanding of race relations in the United States and explains why many popular conceptions are now obsolete.

You can follow the discussion on Twitter with the hashtag #racialequity.
