Donald Trump is set to give what’s been billed as a “major economic policy speech” to the Detroit Economic Club today.
He’ll try to score points with a business-friendly audience that might be uncomfortable with some of his rhetoric, and his positions on issues like trade.
The protesters who have dogged Trump so often on the campaign trail are also expected to be out in force.
Some plan to build a “human wall” around the event at Detroit’s Cobo Center.
Clinton is expected in Detroit later this week.
She’ll reportedly attend a big-ticket fundraiser, then give a major speech on the economy Thursday, focusing on her jobs plan.
The latest polling shows Clinton widening her lead over Trump in Michigan.
