Vice President Mike Pence fired up the president’s base at a small noon-hour rally in Saginaw, as the U.S. House of Representatives debated impeaching President Donald Trump.

Speaking to a group called Workers for Trump, the Vice President stressed the nation’s low unemployment rate and new trade deal with Canada and Mexico.

Pence says President Donald Trump has been fighting for American workers.

“Now it’s your turn to fight for him and deliver a great, great victory in 2020 for Michigan and America,” Pence told the crowd.

The looming congressional vote on two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump was also on the vice president’s mind.

Pence blasted today’s impeachment debate in the U.S. House of Representatives.

At the noon-hour rally, Pence called today’s vote a “disgrace” after a “sham” investigation.

“The only bipartisan vote will be a vote against articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump,” Pence said.

Pence joins the president at a rally tonight in Battle Creek, at roughly the same time that the House is expected to vote on the articles of impeachment.
