It's not just sitting president's who have to worry about their poll numbers, apparently head football coaches do to.
Public Policy Polling gathered information on a subject that really doesn't have much to do with the general public or policy.
Their robot callers ("we can reduce interviewer bias to zero by eliminating the live human interviewer") got responses from 1,224 Michiganders on the subject of Rich Rodriguez.
And surprise of all surprises, the poll numbers are down for the embattled University of Michigan head football coach.
According to the poll:
"Michigan fans generally just don’t like Rodriguez. Only 20% have a favorable opinion of him to 38% who view him in a negative light."
The pollsters say support for Rodriguez staying has declined 19 points since last spring.
So who do they want instead? When presented with three options of Jim Harbaugh, Brady Hoke, or Les Miles. Here's how it broke down:
- Jim Harbaugh ................................................. 64%
- Les Miles......................................................... 23%
- Not sure .......................................................... 9%
- Brady Hoke..................................................... 3%
So the University of Michigan's Athletic Director, David Brandon, has yet another data point with which to evaluate the head coach of his football program.
Now onto true public policy research! Do have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of the First Lady's dress choices?
