2022 was a major election year in Michigan.
The November election decided the next governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and a number of state and federal Congressional seats, in addition to major ballot issues including one which would add abortion rights to the state's constitution.

This year, Michigan voters will elect justices to serve on the Michigan Supreme Court. Two of the seven seats are on the ballot. They'll go to the candidates with the two highest vote totals. This week on Morning Edition, we're featuring interviews with each of the five candidates running for the court. -
Republican Secretary of State candidate Kristina Karamo claimed victory Friday after a Michigan Court of Claims ruled against current Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson — though Karamo was not directly involved in the lawsuit. -

That’s the case in the 10th Congressional district, which now includes much of southern Macomb County, plus Rochester and Rochester Hills in Oakland County. -
The state Bureau of Elections — which is part of the Michigan Department of State — recommends people who don’t request an absentee ballot by Monday should either head over to their local clerk’s office to get one or show up to vote in-person on Election Day. -
Matthew DePerno, the Trump-backed nominee for state attorney general, is being investigated for an alleged plot to seize and tamper with voting machines. -
Student debt cancellation is a prominent issue among young voters, but it's not the sole driving issue organizers are pushing before Election Day.
