The Legislature returns to state Capitol Tuesday as lawmakers bargain over what to do before this session wraps up at the end of the year. One subject of negotiations is road funding.

Since April of 2023, crews have been painstakingly removing and relaying thousands of bricks along a more than six block stretch of Flint’s Saginaw Street. Most of the bricks date back to the late 1800’s.

The first stage of a smart highway pilot is operational on I-94 between Ann Arbor and Detroit. The road's technology can communicate with systems in autonomous vehicles.
